My chameleon has white stuff around its left nostrial??

should i be worried?

its not like oozing at all. its just white around the nostrial

it might be the beguining of its shedding.

but i dont wanna be too un careful.

he also seems kind of off.

idk if hes eating.

  1. It's more than likely just salt deposits or the start of a molt.  Neither of these things are anything to worry about.  That might explain why he's feeling a little bummed; usually chameleons don't eat quite as much and seem even more lazy than usual before and during a molt.

    BUT JUST IN CASE, keep a close eye on him.  If the white stuff gets really bad or if it starts to look oozy at all (which probably won't happen), or if he's not eating at all (which also probably won't happen) take him to a good reptile vet.

  4. Is it crusty?  It could just be expelling salt, my Iguana sometimes sneezes a salty residue, and it leaves white stuff around her nose.  This is normal.

  5. Next time put ur coke away so ur chameleon cant get to it
