  1. Honestly, you have a very slim chance of getting into Berkeley, but a better chance at getting into Davis. With a 3.5 GPA and a 1750 on the SAT will put you towards the bottom of the pack at Berkeley. Are you becoming a senior right now? Because if you are, I suggest you retake your SAT or maybe try the ACT if your good in science. Try taking SAT/ACT prep classes to prepare and be sure to study on your own. This can possibly increase your score by 300 points, which would significantly give you better chances of getting in. You 200 hours of community service would also help you. Maybe try to get an officer position in one of the clubs that you are in and try getting a job during the summer to show work experience. Good Luck!

  2. your SAT score isn't good enough. The only way to improve SAT scorrres is to sit down with a bunch of review books, and just practice, practice, practice. take practice tests and go over the answers and explanations.

  3. I am sorry to say that your SAT score is well below the average for either of those schools and I think that the first thing you should do is try to improve that aspect. Other than that you seem like a great candidate.

  4. the only way to know is the apply to the school and find out.

  5. Your chances seem fair based off the info you provided, but if you can stay on task this year and maybe boost your g.p.a a bit, the schools will definately notice the change and consider you as a candidate. Don't slack on your college essay, it could be the breaking point from you being accepted vs. another student w/ a 3.6 or 3.7 g.p.a.

    Good Luck
