Question:

My chances of being accepted...?

I am currently majoring in pre-law with a minor in psychology at East Stroudsburg University. It isn't an outrageously well known, prestigious school, but I would really like to go to to UCLA, or Berkeley. I understand that a lot of people from all over want to go there, but I was researching their admissions and most of the students are from very well known undergrad schools, much better than ESU.

I make the Dean's list, and I try work very hard but I am nervous that if I apply they will just laugh.

What would you think the chances are of my being accepted, or even considered at a prestigious law school?

  1. just try your hardest

  2. I say, if they just laugh, F*ck them, they're not worth it.

no but for real, just apply. You'll be fine.

  3. TRY

  4. I'm in the same boat here, but "balls to the wall" is the way I live, try and then try again!! Good luck!

  5. how was your lsat?

  6. UCLA is not considered one of the top law schools, although Boalt Hall at berkely is always in the top 20.  All good schools seek diversity in their student body.  They want people from all over.  If your LSAT is very good, and you have demonstrated your abilities in other ways, you have a shot.
