  1. I agree with everything drock said!!!!!

I had a bankruptcy chapter 13 and capitalone and hsbc are the first two I opened. I really recommend waiting until you get the offers from these cards, because they usually offer 0% interest for the first year and low fees. I don't know if you'll get that same offer by just applying. I got offers from both of them within a few months but still waited about 1 1/2 years before I opened either! If you don't accept, they'll keep sending more!

You will be getting offers like crazy, make sure to check the terms very carefully though, like interest rates and annual fees and startup fees. Some of them will charge upwards of $150 just to open the card. Be careful!!!!!!!

  3. Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down there!

You don't want to get back into the mess that made you file bankruptcy!

You might want to wait a year.  But, don't worry, you'll be getting credit card offers in the mail like crazy!  Banks want you to mess up again, so they lend you credit!

    Try:

    HSBC: www.hsbc.com

    Capital Once: www.capitalone.com

Hope mine was the best answer!  Hint...hint! =p
