My check engine light came on and the message left was this Evap code p0443. Theres more please read on....?

EVap code p0443 cntrl system purge control valve circuit,

Does anyone know exactly what this is and how much it will cost me, My car is 1999 Ford Windstar and I just had the tranny rebuilt other then this she is in great shape. Please someone know what it exactly is and how I can fix it please dont make up stuff. Tyvm

tighten your gas cap and drive for awhile if you got gas and did not s***w your cap on tightly it will set of this code because it shows a leak in the evap

So the EVAP purge valve isn't working.  The EVAP system takes fuel fumes from the fuel tank and sends them to the engine to burn with the gasoline.  There are valves in this system to keep the fumes from going where they aren't supposed to.  One must not be working.
