She is a 3 and a half year old chihuahua. He stomach got bigger. She ate normal yesterday. Then suddenly, today, when she smelled the food, she threw up. Like, a lot! This white bubbly stuff. We took her to the vet before this. They removed the chicken bone stuck in her throat. So, there's nothing stuck there for sure. Is she pregnant? And, what are signs when dogs get pregnant? Thanks!

  1. Did you have her mate with another dog?  If that were the case, then you could assume that she could possibly be pregnant.

But in the end, you should take her to a vet to get a checkup anyway.

  2. She could have worms or many other things that make her throw up. A trip to the vet would be your best bet!

  3. Was she bred ? She wouldn't just swell and throw up if she were pregnant. Never give dogs chicken bones, they are very unhealthy for dogs to eat. My dogs throw up foamy white, or yellow foam and it's usually nothing. Not more than a couple of times on the same day.You will need to go back to the vet if this keeps up or gets worse.

  4. There are a number of reasons a dog could gain weight. worms, bloat and pregnancy are just a few.

What your dog in season recently? Did she get bred? If she was in heat and did not get bred(or even if she did) She may not be pregnant. She may think she is though.

I think your best bet would be contacting a vet and bringing her in for an exam. I have raised many litters, and have yet to see a pregnant dog throw up at the sight or smell of food. Actually, I have never seen any dog throw up at the sight or smell of food. It may be just a luke that she picked that moment to throw up.

Good luck, and keep us posted:)
