Question:

My child needs a 'junior high back booster' seat. Can anyone recommend a good one?

She has outgrown her Maxi Cosi Priory XP seat (5 point harness system). She has exceeded the weight and height requirements and I have been told to buy the next stage seat which is a high back booster. I am not sure which is the best one to buy as I have had confusing advice from staff at Mothercare and Toys R Us. Mothercare suggest a Graco Junior High Back Booster and Toys R Us suggest a Britax Evolva 123 seat. Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks.

  1. If you can afford it an Evolva 123 has excellent reviews, I have them for 3 of mine although our son is rather big so have just ordered a Britax Elite, if you go to their website (just google britax fit finder) it will tell you which seat in your car has the best fit.

  2. i got a graco junior sport or something ( without running out tot he car to have alook i cant say for certain lol ) i got it in argos for 34.99

  3. I have a Compass and love it!  We first used it with the harness, and now we don't.  The back goes up pretty high.  I would think their website would have the exact measurements and requirements.  They also guarantee their seats......if you get in an accident you can return it for a new one.

  4. we have the xp too, we a going to get the graco maxi junior, which a high back booster i think it about £50 in toys r us.

i know a lot of people with this one and they all are happy with them.

  5. I always look at consumer reports before buying a car seat.  I just looked now for you and it only shows carseat ratings for free but boosters you need to subscribe?

    I did find http://www.consumersearch.com/www/family...

THIS CAME UP THE BEST ONE, THAT IS THE ONE WE HAVE. (from link)

    Graco TurboBooster SafeSeat

       (*est. $50 to $100)

    >> Where to buy  Best high-back booster seat. The Graco TurboBooster continues to be a top pick in reviews. This seat performs well in recent crash tests, and parents say their kids find it comfortable. The TurboBooster is secured in place using your vehicle's seatbelts. This car seat can be used for children 30 to 100 pounds, and has a reclining back, cup holders, adjustable head support and removable seat pad. Side "wings" provide support for napping children. A high-back booster is a good choice if your car has short seat backs, since they give kids more back and head support over a backless booster seat. Higher-end versions of the TurboBooster add options like extra padding and a reversible cover. (compare prices)
