My child was born.....

Question

In NZ and we're currently in OZ where the father resides... I want to go back to NZ but now he is threatening to take me to court to keep me here in Australia..,.Even though things are not working between us anymore....

He is not on the birth Cert and now believes that our 2nd child is not his.... Would love any gr8 answer's and gr8 websites about Australian Law.... thanks>>>>

get yourself a lawyer, before he gets one

if you cant afford a lawyer, there are some free clinics that can give you free legal advie

check your phone book (white pages) if you have that?

for locations, also try the internet

anything you can do

be smart. well smarter than him

Sorry to hear that, My partner and i broke up last year and i moved to far north qld so he took me to court trying to get custody (we ended up getting back together)...the thing is the law has now changed, it's not always in the womens favour anymore..more men are winning cases like this and if you do go to court the best outcome will be shared care something like 4 or 5 days a week with you and 2 or 3 days with him.

BUT if he is not on either of your childrens birth certs then he has no legal tie to them...unless a court ordered dna test is done to prove he is the father.
