  1. Try covering her cage and giving her some privacy. The fact that she is losing fur though means you should bring her to the vet for examination.

  2. Well she in all honesty could be lonely. Chinchillas are social animals and like to have other chinchillas around.

How hard does she bite you?  My chinchillas nip me all the time, but they think I have treats. They never draw blood or anything.

And what noises is she making? Chinchillas make noises all the time. If she is 'barking' that means that she is mad at you and dosn't want you to bother her.

If the fur loss is happening when you are picking her up, that is a defense thing.

How long have you had this Chinchilla? Do you let her run around outside of the cage?  If you haven't had her very long then she is probably still getting used to you.

If you don't let her out of the cage for at least an hour everyday , that would stress her out.

I hope this helps. I know every chinchilla is different, but this is basied on how mine acted. :3 good luck to you

  3. Chinchillas don't like loud noises so maybe you should give her some privacy and she'll come around.
