  4. OKRA !!! It likes the ground to be really warmed up before planting. Then just lightly steam the tiny baby ones and pour on a bit of melted butter...yummmmmm

  5. Tomatoes are what I know of because my grandpa used to grow them all the time.

Google vegetable seasons or something of that sort.

  6. Maybe next season you could start in the early spring, but for now I would suggest that you get plants instead of starting from seed. You could do tomato, like everyone said, this way you could do several varieties, like beefsteak for slicing and eating, and roma for cooking with, or cherry for salads and snacking. Also squash, large or small (my fave is patty pan squash-they are so cute and you can eat the whole thing)  or crookneck or even pumpkins! And for fruits you could put out strawberries or other berries. Cucumbers are also easy to grow, as are zuchini, but zuchini can sometimes be too easy to grow, as a person can have so much they have trouble even giving some away!  Also right now you could also get some jalapeno peppers or other pepper plants to go with your tomatoes to make salsa with. Good luck!
