One of the toilets in my home has a nasty iron type smell. I have tried bleach, simple green, regular toilet cleaner, oxy clean, pine sol, iron out, borax...basically everything and the smell is still there. Any ideas? I am on well water but the other 2 toilets in my house smell fine.

  1. I'd go to the doctors mate, got a bowel problem there i reckon.

  2. Straight up Lemon Juice in the little lemon containers in the produce section.

  3. Ahhhh rusty well water... welcome to my nightmare! The Works toilet bowl cleaner is the only thing that gets the rust out. You have to drain the water out of the tank and bowl and squirt The Works in both. Don't breathe it in for too long, it's pretty strong stuff. It will seem to "smoke" for the first couple of minutes, don't worry it's working. Then just scrub with toilet brush and maintain with The Works regularly. Be sure not to mix The Works with bleach or any other product. Also, don't let it sit in the toilet bowl or tank for more than 10 minutes or it will etch the porcelain.

  4. well i would try using dawn or lysol disinfecting spray so well that should do it
