My clothes became baggy, how can I make them return to normal?

Like the title said, my clothes became baggy after not many washes..my grandma, who usually does the laundry always washes the clothes in cold water, full load. After the clothes are done washing, we hang them outside. The problem is, my shirts, which are all about 90% cotton start to sag..and my favorite shirt now have those little cotton balls on them(dunno what they're called, they're tiny, but ugly) How can I make my clothes tight again..and get rid of the cotton stuff on them.

Please help if you are experienced with washing laundry, thanks.

  1. the reason they are baggy are because once you hang them the weight of the water makes them sag.tide makes this new detergent and its to make your clothes stay fit and it does not where out the fabrics from so many washes.also try using a dryer instead of hanging them that is your best bet.GOOD LUCK!

  2. When my clothes get baggy I wash them normally then chuck em in the dryer!  My teenage daughter insists her tshirts go in the dryer cause she likes them kept snug.

You can avoid the saggy by folding the tshirts over the line under the arms - & thats where you put the pegs too - its the only place where you wont see the peg marks & you wont have the whole weight of the tshirt pulling it out of shape.

The little balls - get a roll of packing tape or sticky tape - you know the really wide one - tear a piece off - put it over your shirt - rub over it to make it stick & then peel off.  My teenage son does this cause all his clothes are black & it drives him nuts.

try to make sure when you do your washing that you dont mix dark & light clothes together.

dont put towels, sheets, tracksuit pants or tops, pajamas or anything even remotely fluffy in with your tshirts.

    good luck
