My clutch sometimes gets stuck to the floor!!?

when i drive around every now and then the clutch gets stuck!! and i have to lift it up, and it works fine? i just got the master cylinder replaced and

their was nothing else wrong!! any insiders? could it just be a spring or something??

  1. i would take it back to the repairer and tell them, it sounds like a hydraulic problem to me, maybe now the slave cylinder is leaking also. good practice is that both should be repaired at the same time


  2. Could be air in the system. Bleed the system or take it back to where the work was done  

  3. Most of the current production cars that I know of rely on the pressure plate to return the pedal to the up position.

    There are those that have a spring on them, but I do not know if yours does. It could be at the slave cylinder or one on the pedal. If so, then yes it could be a broken spring.

    There is the chance that the clutch pressure plate is failing or that the throw out bearing needs replaced.

    If you have eliminated all the external to the bell-housing parts, then it is time to redo the clutch (pilot bearing, throwout bearing, pressure plate and clutch disk. Also get the flywheel resurfaced).
