  1. pull it out it wont hurt for long & when it it is removed a new one will start to grow

  2. I wouldn't do anything to them if I were you.  I would take it to the vet to make sure they are removed properly.

    I hope I helped!

  3. mo you could do harm to him or her. this means that he or she is molting there's food at the pet store for this. give him or her this and they will fall out or there own or he or she will pull them out there selves. they know what they are doing. my cockateil gets to the point when he is molting he has no tail feathers. good luck

  4. If you were really going to try to remove them - pulling would be less painful - but still hurt, and possibly cause bleeding, too.

Better to just cut them off where the shaft is broken.  They'll eventually fall out and be replaced.

  5. No, when it preens itself it'll get them off.

  6. well you can not just pull them off you have to get tweesers and slowly pull at the hard skin that holds the feathers it won;t hurt them it would be doing them a favor!!

  7. Ouch!  Heck no, don't twist them off.   Get a small pair of scissors and cut them off right at the break.

Or leave them alone and they will take care of themselves.

  8. Its just easier to cut them off with a pair of scissors. No need to pull the entire feather out. You would only want to do that if it were a broken blood feather and was bleeding. You might want to consider getting a larger cage, it would cut down on the number of broken tail feathers.

  9. yea just yank em' off it will  hurt them for a few seconds but its worth it.
