My cockatiel keep's trying to bite me

any advice? On how to get it to play with me and go on my finger?

  1. get him on your finger and use ur other hand to tell him to get on and if he starts to bite then wiggle your hand that hes (they dont like that) standing on now and get him off balance do this a couple times and he'll eventually learn also reward him a treat of he gets on you with out bitting you


  2. make sure the area is quiet and you are calm and slow. talk in a gentle voice and if it still happens he may not be tamed.

    in this case sit near the cage and talk to him in a gentle happy voice without trying to touch him for a while each day for around 2 weeks.

    then try letting him eat out of your hand without trying to touch him at all. while talking in a nice voice and do this for a while too.

    then you can try to pet him after a few weeks then after a while youll be able to pick him up.

    if this doesnt work right away, dont rush it, itll take a while.
