My coffee filters are AWOL -does using a paper towel actually work?

Yes, yes of course it does! Just scrunch it down into the filter basket! I've even used paper napkins - even printed ones from a birthday! You gotta do what you gotta do!

i always use a paper towel or a napkin..... i also put a dash of salt in the grounds to neutralize the coffee so it isnt so bitter!!!

If they're good ones or the brown ones on the roll that you rip (recycled) it will work.  My mother does that in a pinch.  When I run out of filters I have haul *** to Tim Horton's because I don't buy paper towels, lol.

Being a coffee addict.....

Paper towels don't allow the fluid move through well enough and it'll over flow (been there).

A cotton T-shirt or nylon pantyhose/stockings will work very well (preferably clean ones!).
