My cold water isn't cold enough?

i always take cold showers (skin benefits, feels good, etc) but i noticed these past few months that my cold water isn't as icy as it once was. my shower doesn't have the temperature nozzle, just one for hot and one for cold. could it be because the sun and natural heat is warming up the cold water pipes or do i just have a crappy shower system?

The ground warms up in late summer and stays warm for a long time.
