5. Yes!

It's something called a Wireless Router!

    Wireless Routers

A Wireless router offers flexibility in that you can share your high speed broadband with a mixture of wired and wireless connectivity or just pure wireless connectivity without the need of the main computer being switched on. Broadbandbuyer has an extensive range of wireless Routers for residential users and small to medium sized businesses. We also provide solutions where additional functionality is required, such as VoIP and secure VPN access. With various speeds and type of routers, please read the following carefully.

Difference between 54Mbps and 108Mbps+ and MIMO Wireless Speeds

        * Standard 54Mbps The ratified IEEE 802.11g specification is a standard for wireless local area networks (WLANs) that offers transmission at relatively short distances at up to 54Mbps (Megabits per second) over the harmless 2.4 GHz radio frequency. 802.11g is ideal for 2 storey, 1-3 bedroom homes with standard brick or plasterboard interior walls.

        * 108Mbps+ known as Super G / HighSpeed / SpeedBooster wireless networking increase up to 35 percent greater performance throughput over standard 802.11g. As these products are based on 802.11g antenna technology, poor range and signal reliability that’s found in 802.11g is evident here when deployed in demanding environments.

        * MIMO products deliver phenomenal range and are capable of providing strong, stable wireless coverage in the most demanding environments. MIMO is ideal for Victorian or modern 4+ bedroom homes.

Difference between ADSL Wireless Router and Broadband Wireless Router

ADSL Wireless Router have built-in ADSL Modems so they can only be used via BT's copper phone lines which have been enabled with ADSL broadband. All major ISPs (Internet Service Provider) are compatible including AOL, BT Broadband, Wandaoo and any other ADSL ISP which operates over your BT telephone line..

Broadband Wireless Router can only be used by customers who have cable broadband supplied by Virgin Media (previously NTL or Telewest). The wireless router will need to be connected to your ISP ( Internet Service Provider) supplied cable modem or set-top-box via an ethernet cable.
