My college is asking for 850 SAT score?

I scored like a 1900 or something........how is scoring 850 possible? do you have to convert it or something? how much is 850?

  1. Wow everyone here is showing their age.  The test is no longer 1600 points as when we took it.  The test is now 3 parts (writing, math, critical reading), 800 points per section, 2400 possible points total.  Changes were made in 2005.

    Are you sure they are not talking about a specific section?  Otherwise, that is a d**n easy college to get into.

  3. the highest SAT score you can get is only like 1600 so no you didn't get a 1900. and you don't have to get exactly 850, that's the minimum score to get to be considered for acceptance.

  4. well, 850 is pretty low...it just over half. however, its impossible to get a 1900 because it only goes up to 1600. If you got a 1600 i would say that your extremely smart and be looking at a school thats looking for something a little higher, not saying the school you are looking at isn't as good, but if you got a perfect SAT score...your pretty smart.
