My comps audio doesnt work

if i want to watch something on the internet like youtube or something, my audio doesnt work unless the player the site uses is windows media player. my audio system is just fine because i can listen to itunes and all that. whats wrong with my comp?

Are you using Firefox or Internet Explorer as the web browser? Anyways, the issue lies in the default media player set for the type of file attempting to be played.

It's probably the codec pack you are using on your system..
