My computer's sound isn't working

my sound was just working but i had to restart the computer and now there's no sound and when i try to turn up the volume it says there's no mixer device's can someone please help me

You have not said what mother board you are using and your sound card. i think you can use c-media driver, which is available for free all over internet.

Installing that can get you better performance. Since your system shows that there is no mixer, i hope c-media driver can fix that problem.
