i have Kingston data traveler 2.0.

the problem is my computer cannot read my files in the pendrive, there is an icon saying USB hardware exist but when i open 'My Computer' folder, nothing came out.

i eject and insert again, still the same. also restart the computer.i also insert the pendrive directly to the CPU but it still the same

it only happens to my office computer because when i tried at my friend's PC it just work fine. By the way she is using Window XP and i am using Window 2000.

Can anyone help me or can anyone give me any software for Kingston pendrive?

i look at Kingston website but i can't find where they have it.

Please help me.

  1. Your Kingston Data Traveler 2.0 does not need software.  When you connect your pendrive to your computer, the computer sets up drivers, which help the computer read the information on the device.

The reason your work computer isn't recognizing the pendrive, and your friends computer is, is because most likely installing these drivers is disabled by your company or IT dept.  You may be able to contact your IT dept for help with this.  These are the people that set up accounts and control the settings for the computers at your office.

I know this because I tried the same thing with my pendrive at my office and I had no luck either.

    Good luck!
