My computer connects to the internet but will not open up a page?

I have set installed some updates last night and now its saying that some security thing is stopping it. Does anyone have any ideas?

If you're using Zone Alarms and you get a Time Out message the solution is simple. You can either switch your protection to 'medium' instead of 'high', or download a patch on the ZA website.

Check your security settings aren't set too high - this may be blocking access to the pages.

Have you restarted your computer?  Try that and open up your browser.  Also, operating system, browser, etc. information would be helpful.

Call your internet provider and see if their has been recent upgrades or changes. If you can connect to the internet there could be a problem with your provider. This happens to me when I don' t get my bill paid on time. I can connect but I can't open up a page. This is something they should be able to help you with since you may have a security problem with their server.
