  1. 32 bit is default because certain plugins (Flash for example) won't work properly in a 64 bit browser, and there isn't really much of an advantage to running a web browser in 64 bits.

You likely have a 64 bit operating system because a 64 bit browser won't work on a 32 bit OS.

Vista comes in 32 bit and 64 bit versions.

  2. because your computer is a 32 bit type computer. can't use what you don't have installed

  3. I believe you can only use 64 bit Internet Explorer if you have 64Bit OS (Operating System, such as Xp, Vista)

Because right now my Internet Explorer is on 64Bit, because i have windows Vista 64Bit.

So your Operating System is on 32Bit version. There are two 32Bit and 64Bit. 64Bit you get to use 4Gig of Ram, 32 Bit can only use 3.5Gig of Ram (Even you put 4 GIG)
