If you have an xbox or a xbox 360 on the back of the xbox theres a switch for hdmi or tv switch it to hdmi and plug the odd extra wires in. It makes the graphics better

You can use all sorts of HD media equipment with it, like a TV or xbox 360 and the like. its basically like having a HD TV without having to go out and spend 1,000's of £'s on a fancy new TV!!!!!

HDMI is also used with other devices, but a LCD tv is the most common.

Nothing if you don't have any hardware that uses HDMI ports. Some camcorders, cameras, monitors, and other new hardware coming out use HDMI ports...
