Question:

My computer has a virus...?

if we try to get the virus off or take it to someone is there any way they could get information to sites that someone has visited on the comp. or if they have like a messenger could they get the conversations that they have had before?? pretty much if u try to take a virus off, would they be seeing what sites have been visited or conversations or anything like that?

  1. If it's a virus use an online scanner such as TrendMicro housecall...takes a while but removes viruses and it's free:

    If it's not a virus but a malicious codec use the following:

    Download, install, update, scan and follow on screen prompts.

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

    Download, install, update and select Quick Scan

    It would also be helpful to know what antivirus/antispyware and Operating System you are using.

    If you put the machine into a store to get it looked at then yes they can view all of your conversations, web history etc.

    If you use the tools above then you can do it for free yourself.

  2. Well it is possible.  The safest thing to do is make sure you have the best antivirus you can get.  I use norton 360 and its awesome.
