My computer is being so sluggish and crashes every now and then?

It's about 4 years old and is still running amazingly well, MOST of the time. No major viruses or problems as of yet! However in recent weeks it's been running painfully slowly, and occasionally one or two of my programs will freeze up totally. I have updated virus scanning software, I've done a disk clean-up (I still have quite a bit of disk space left!) and I've defragged - but to no avail. I also went through all my processes checking for trojans etc but all seems to be fine there. Any suggestions? Bare in mind I'm not a computer whizz so please speak in English! :)

  1. What about getting more memory for the computer.  Also have you cleaned up the computer, that is get rid of stuff you don't need anymore or no longer use?  I found that deleting some of the old unused files it helps the computer run better.

    Good luck

  2. I think your pc need a new windows installed

Many viruses may be manipulating your pc upto killing it to death

Install new windows and setup antivirus

    (I recommend kaspersky or nod32)

  3. www.threatfire.com

    www.superantispyware.com

Run full scans with both of those, you will probably find that many things were missed by your virus scanner. Both are totally free.
