Okay, so i was deleting things from the add/remove file and i guess i accidently deleted something that was important because the next time i tried signing in, it won't let me sign in. It said that the file /WINDOWS/system32 was missing and I can't log in. It also said that I can try to repair it by using the original setup CD ROM. I don't have that, but I do have a reinstallation CD. But when i put it in there, nothing happens! HELP!

  1. If you can get into safe mode , you should be able to log into windows. from there you may be able to use the system restore option, this will restore any major files you may of deleted.

just incase you don't know , to get into safe mode you need to press f8 after you reboot your system , then select safe mode.

if you can not system restore you could try your cd again, may work once your logged in.

(just a question have you booted from that disc? and pressed any button when the disc starts to spin? , it will give you an option to boot from cd or hard disc.)

email me if you want any further assistance.

  2. Okay theres been a few times the reinstallation CD didn't do anything for me at first. Try this, open that thing to put the disk in, then put the disk in, but before you close it, restart ur computer ( do not turn off ur computer completely and then turn it back on. Just reboot). Once you restart ur computer, it will close automatically. I'm not sure why it worked like that for my computer, but it did. U may wanna try that.

  3. Did you set your optical media reader as the first boot device, if no then set it and boot your system from that disc. Once you boot, you will find an option to repair your windows, try that option. Still if you can't access windows, then you will have to reinstall windows.
