My computer is prompting me to run "chkdsk/f". What do I do?

It won't let me defrag or run virus scan because it prompts me to run chkdsk/f before it will run other things.

Go to

Start   -  Run

type

chkdsk /f   or

chkdsk /r

dos window appears

choice  N/Y   press Y

reboot your computer

Thats all yo do,

chkdsk /r takes a while longer but more effective.
