  1. Yep, you go to control panel click  clock, language, and region, then click regional and language options, then click English(United States.)

    Hope that helped :]

  2. you still know where the control panel and stuff is right?

if not i'm going to have to convert my laptop to japanese and do print screens...

  3. sorry, i have a mac, and i could tell you if you had a mac sorry, but for a mac, you click on the 4th button down from the apple and click the flag and scroll to english

  4. If the operating system (Windows itself) is in Japanese, you have to reformat it. What version of Windows is it running? If it's Win98/2000/XP you have to get an installation CD and start everything from scratch. All the installed programs (like Microsoft Office) will also have to be reinstalled. Usually the installation CDs and drivers come when you buy the laptop. If you don't have the official installation CD with drivers, make sure you make a back up copy of your laptop's drivers before doing a reformat. Sometimes scrounging for drivers of Japanese laptops can be a royal pain.

Doing this will also make your laptop run faster.
