My computer keeps crashing - diagnostic test?

Is there a free diagnostic test to tell me why my windows xp keeps crashing.

The most probable reason is

1) Your system files are mucked up

Right click C:\ properties /tools /error check new box tick small square to fix errors and reboot while rebooting windows will scan for errors and fix them then restart it should solve your problems
