My computer keeps moving music files around in my music folder which is on my second hard drive. It moves them into subfolders within my music folder and i have to keep moving them back which is very annoying. My computer is running Windows XP Pro and has AVG free anti virus software which does a daily scan of my computer and has not found any viruses or anything else. My operating system and all my programs are on my first (small) hard drive and all my documents, videos, pictures and music are on my second (big) hard drive. I would be very grateful to anyone who can tell me what is causing this.

  1. make sure that wen you push a filter on the filter bar that its organized to your liking but also check to make sure its not your computer and its just kids messing with your computer, that may be your problem

  2. have you any programs like itunes installed? theres a small tick box in some programs like itunes, napster etc that says it will automatically organise your music collection.  This is likley what you are fighting against.  id say its not a virus or anything since uv them avenues covered.

  3. If the music you are referring to is being downloaded from a sharing site (limewire, bear share, etc..) it could be that your settings are set to share files and the music is being moved there to share. Check your download settings. If you arnt using this software then i have no clue.

  4. smack it upside the head

  5. What program do you use to play the music files? Many Programs create their own folder structure and scan your computer (and any drives connected to it) and then assembles a music library inside an automatically named folder. i-tunes does this, though it usually puts the music in a folder on the c:\ drive by default with windows computers. What are the subfolders callled how many of them are there?

  6. Create a folder and put all your audio files in it
