What's wrong? It won't even reach the XP logo screen. Putting it in safe mode doesn't work.

  1. That is a symptom of XP crash, which I had just a few months ago.

Because of your CPU is unable to detect the 'command' needed for start up your xp,it just keep reboot and reboot and reboot.

    You need to reformat.

Note:Reformat on the certain drive will cause all the data stored in that drive to be erased for Window XP installations.

1.Insert your XP CD into the CD drive and reboot your computer.2.It should come out:Press any key to boot cd

2.Wait for the loading until you reach a place where asking you what you want to do,just follow and read the instruction (Do not choose repair XP since it may cause your XP to be not stable even after a 'repair')and at the end choose a drive to format.Wait until it finished and reboot your computer again. This time, take out your XP cd and reinsert when the "Boot CD failed"cause you need the cd for XP installation.

3.You are now in XP installation, enter the serial number and wait and customize some setting and after one more reboot, remove your cd and now you have a new Window!

    Good luck!

  2. This could also be bad memory (RAM). Burn the system rescue cd....

and restart your computer with the cd in the drive. When it reaches a command prompt type "memtest" and push enter. Let it run for at least an hour. If you see any red on the screen afterward, you have a bad memory module.
