  1. last of all there could be a loose contact in the psu/smps however u call it itz the power supply get that checked too

  2. If it restarts itself, its having an error but its set to restart automatically - so you don't have time to read the error screen to see what's wrong!

So the first thing to do is stop it restarting automatically.

First go to the system properties. You can find "system" in control panel, or instead press the windows key and the Pause/Break key (top right somewhere) to show the system panel.

Go to the Advanced tab at the top

You will see Startup and Recovery as one of the buttons, so press that, and you will see a bunch of options. One of them, in the system failure section, says Automatically restart.

Uncheck it and press OK. Next time your computer crashes, you should get a blue screen and it will say something near the top. Write it down and then post it here or search for it and we can help you further.

  3. I had a similar problem - the comp overheated cos it was processing too hard and had a tiny fan. try replacing the fan or getting better RAM?

  4. Depending on how long windows was installed, it may be that the version of XP wasn't activated.  When you use a copy of windows xp that was copied (which is illegal :) ), it still requires you to activate.  If the activation process was tampered with, XP will shut itself down unexpectedlty to alert you that you are using an illegal version of it.
