My computer lights

Question

Hi i have an acer computer ....When i switch it on lights flash for a second then the only light remains is the red light ...and my computer will not show any command.......I transferered my hard drive to another computer and my windows is fine ......Could you please give me some dirrection to go .....Columbo1948
