My computer needs a dvd decoder to run my dvd's where can i get one for free on the internet

i have a blu ray player would i need a different type of decoder if so where do i get one

  1. Google free decoder blue-ray and a bunch should pop out. Microsoft has free decoders for media player. I would just go to your manufacturers web page and download one of there decoders , they are usually free.


  2. vlc dvd player (google it)

    its free to download, and no viruses

  3. \when you install either VLC Player or Gomplayer you do not need a decoder. Both players can play anything you want and no need to download extra codecs

    I use Gomplayer my self, because I find it easier to use.

  4. Windows Media Player can decode DVDs if you have the latest version.. If all else fails, try VLC:

    I don't know about bluray, VLC might be able to play bluray if you have a bluray drive for your computer.
