My computer often says program not responding?

Question

My computer freezes and the error message I receive is that a certain program is not responding. How can I correct this problem?

is used to happen on mine.. i tried deleting w.e it was that didnt work.. then it took it to the store and the wiped out everything but i had a virus too

Ctrl + Alt + Delete? That works for me.I'm not sure if thats what you are looking for though.

Click on  refresh button ?   try few times and if it still not working ?  it may not have a program exited

If it's one specific program that keeps crashing, then try to figure out the source of the problem if you can. Maybe some conflicting software?  Or an antivirus/firewall issue?  if you do not have the latest version of the program, try updating it - it may be that the issue you are having is well-known and was fixed in a recent version.

If you can't find the source of the problem though, and cannot update, then sometimes, it's just easiest to reinstall the program.  Usually this will clear up any issues you have.

If reinstalling doesn't help, then you should probably get more specific help at the support forums of the developer of the program.

your computer might have a lot of problems or too many programs running which causes your pc to slow down and freeze. you can download a program to help you get rid of those problems. one program i know of is TuneUp Utilities. if you search that on google, you'll see the homepage of the program and you can download the trial for free. this program cleans your registry, defrags your system, free's up space on your computer, prevent unwanted applications from running when you start up your computer and basically makes your computer run faster. with this program, you can even customize the way your computer looks. its a really good program. i use it myself.
