  1. There is no way to log into Windows without either the admin or user login, but if you are able to use a different computer to burn a Linux Live CD, you will be able to mount the Windows partition and backup your data, then you can wipe windows and re-install.

If you are on Windows XP, on the login screen press ctrl+alt+del+del (yes the delete should be twice) and then it will ask you to type in the username and you should be able to sign into Administrator with a blank password because that is the default. Windows XP always has an account called Administrator and it's password should be blank by default.

If neither of those work for you, then you may be SOL but I hope it all works out for you!

  2. There is safe mode which does include administrator, if operating XP.

Click on the link to show you how, http://www.computerhope.com/issues/chsaf... and when you get to logon screen, select administrator, then goto user accounts in control panel, then click on remove password for your account.

There is a more detailed way of doing it which includes the command prompt, so best to try this first.

  3. Yeah you need to download a cd image which will boot and allow you to erase the password. its here http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/

this is free but be sure to read it thoroughly mate!

  4. What is the operating system ?

Please delete this question and include the operating system you are using..

  6. i can tell you but its a trade secret i will tell you this you need nothing more then your xp cd and you can remove it completly without lossing your data

  7. Download UBCD4WIN burn the iso to a disk and boot your computer with it. In the programs menu you will see a program called password reset or something similar. Soon I will post the entire tutotial step by step on my website, the link to which is in my profile.

  8. In Windows XP There is an Administrator setup by default. Unless your brother changed that password as well you should be able to get in and change your password back to the one you want.

Go into the safe mode. Restart the computer Press F8 repeatedly on startup. You will get a screen that will allow you to choose the safe mode.

Let it load when it comes up to the log in screen there will be two log in choices choose Administrator and if asked for the password leave it blank and hit enter.  If you get in then simply change go into the control panel User accounts and change your password back to the one you want.

If you can't get it to the Administrator on the safe mode then it becomes very complicated to get into the computer unless you re-format and start over.
