Hey guys,

I'm wondering whats wrong with my computer. Every time i close my dvd drive (Samsung TSST Corp Cd/DVDW SH - S182M) my computer completely turns off and i cant turn it back on again unless i turn off my computer at the wall for 5 seconds.

It used to burn dvds/cds really well untill all of a sudden this started happening. I reinstalled windows to see if that helped but it still turns off. Also I have another dvd burner that works fine.

I am running windows xp pro and zone alarm as my antivirus.

I hope you guys can help me out, best answer will be given =)

  1. bring it to a pc shop nd ask theme

  2. Best thing to do is just backup all important files to an online harddrive (google Skydrive) and reinstall Windows. If you want to lower the risk of it ever happening again, install Linux (en.wikipedia.org/Linux  or  ubuntu.com)
