  1. yahoo could be blocked by a firewall (windows own or 3rd party or within the router)

i would start checking that first

in case you need to know which ports are being used goto the console and type:

    netstat -a

to get a list of connections and ports. you may see yahoo in there trying to connect at specific ports .. those ports need to be open in your Firewall settings

  2. After you do all that cookie and history cleanup, may want to re-boot to re-establish the DHCP settings from your ISP. Probablly not needed, but it helps.

  3. you need to delete your cookies, delete files, and delete offline content in you internet explorer settings.  Close all you IE windows when done and reopen IE and try again...

  4. Mine did this earlier I was answering a question and then it went to the page can not find server I clicked on back and the same thing happened.  I completely went out of yahoo waited a few minutes and then it let me back in. Hope this helps! Good Luck !!!

  5. Try this.  If you have DSL, push the "off" button on the back of the DSL box.  Wait 10 seconds and turn it back on.   When the lights are back to normal, try pulling up Yahoo again.  PS: If you don't have a button on the back of your DSL box, just pull the plug for 10 seconds.  Good luck.
