The first time I got my ipod I just plugged it in and the program worked...I just did that and it said the program was installed but when I clicked on the icon it said the program wasn't installed...what should I do? I deleted my icon and tried to access itunes through the start menu and it said the same thing....'This action is only valid for products that are currently installed' I now have my ipod hooked up and it says not to disconnect...I don't speak computer and could really use some idiot proof help....PLEASE.....

  1. If you have windows you will continue having problems. Try downloading winamp from www.winamp.com I use it and works fine, better than itunes honestly I don't trust apple I don't even know why I bought the d**n ipod in the first place. But yea go ahead and get that program its easy to use.

  2. Alright, first find all of your music and move it somewhere that you will easily be able to find later. now go to start, then control panel, then add/remove programs. after that see if you can uninstall itunes. if it's in the list then uninstall. if not then just skip to this step. you're going to have to reinstall itunes manually. it's not hard, don't worry. go here http://www.apple.com/itunes/overview/ then "download now." download for what operating system you have, i'm guessing it's either xp or vista, just pick the appropriate one. then install and wait. after it's done drag all of your music back into itunes and the problem should be fixed. email me with any questions. good luck!
