My computer seems like its running all the time even though theres no programmes running !?

the fan is on all the time as if i was downloading or somthing and the screen saver doesnt come on anymore. its like its in use but it isnt. any ideas on how to fix this ?

If you hear the hard drive running all the time that is more of an issue.  That might mean that you have a virus or spyware program running.  Make sure your virus definitions are up to date and have some type of spyware program too.  Some people choose to have more than spyware program scan their system and then choose one to keep running all the time.  Windows Defender is pretty decent, but there are quite a few and some good free options.

Umm this is a SPORT running section but to answer your question then just go to a shop where someone can fix your computer

mine happened like that and this guy had to re-format it

The fan SHOULD always be running, unless its a relatively new computer that automatically turns it off when its not needed.

If the fan ISNT running and your computer is doing a bit of work then it'll overheat and either shut down or damage itself.

As for the screensaver, right click on desktop, choose properties, click screensaver tab and adjust wait time and click apply. Mine does the same thing sometimes and i find that it simply needs re-setting.

Right click on your clock in the lower right hand corner.  This brings up ' task manager '.

You can then see what is eating up your resources and stop them if neccessary.
