  1. Try disabling your anti-virus but it will be prone to virus. Install additional RAM and increase your hard disk capacity.

  2. Check http://www.pc-optimizer-pro.com

With pc optimizer pro you can safely clean, repair and optimize your computer.

It will help improve your system performance without expensive hardware upgrades.

  3. Using a registry cleaner can clean up your computer and then make your computer faster,Why?the reason is that there may be some registry errors and remnant, corrupt files and temp files in your computer to cause "computer slow".

Every time you install and uninstall software on your computer and surfing online you create junk in the computer registry.over time, the registry can grow to enormous proportions, especially if the various programs you've installed do not do a good job of deleting and/or updating it's Registry entries. You need to scan and clean your computer with registry cleaner to make it fast.Good Registry Cleaner will improve your computer and Internet performance dramatically!

There are some comparison and review of TOP 5 registry cleaners.

  4. the speed of the computer is controlled by mainly 3 things: the CPU, the RAM, and the hard drive speed and space. If the cpu speed is anything lower than a 2.2 GHZ core 2 duo than its expected that the computer will be slow after a little while because 2.2 is the mimimum speed where you actually start to see the difference between core 2 duo and the other crappy processors. RAM controlles the speed of the computer and the ability to multitask, if you have anything under 3 gigs of RAm your computer will slow down no doubt. No matter how good people say 2 gigs of RAM is, its not especially if you have vista because vista takes up 1 gig of RAM leaving you with only 1 gig to work with. Also if your hard drive speed is anything less than 5400 RPM (rotations per minute) your computer is outdated and should be slow unless it was top of the line back then, in which case its average now. Today i would reccomend 7200 RPM because its the fastest hard drive speed without having to spend alot of money (like a thousand buckaroes) but then again you could go for raptors or cheetas (10,000 RPM +) and then never doubt the speed of the computer. This mainly has to do with how fast your computer can pull and open the files you wish it to. For example when you click a shortcut, the computer must find the file and execute and opening of the file to open whatever the heck you told it to. The hard drives also have something called cache which is basically like the call list on a phone, it remember the past few items you have opened so you the computer doesnt have to go through the annoying process all over again but instead can use the shortcut. The higher the cache, the more space it has to remember things making your computer faster there too. I would say that if the computer is 4 years or older you probably need to upgrade all of these things or better yet get a new computer. But it just might be one or two of these so hope this helps you.

  7. there could be many things. if it just happened out of the blue, it could be a virus. but a hardware issue could also be to blame. i would suggest first to run a virus scan and cleanup junk files out of your pc with ccleaner (google it.)
