My computer will not STAY connected to the internet!?

My wireless will say "Not Connected" but I still get the internet. Then 5-10 minutes later it drops completely. Its really annoying having to reconnect every 5 minutes. Can someone please help??

I've tried disabling everything, rebooting, then enabling and this does nothing. I know the problem is with my laptop and not the internet because my Dad and Brother have no issue connecting to the wireless network that I am trying to.

you should call yur internet provider or go to my compuer and check if you have ethernet connection.

My Sony was doing that fading in and out, however i went to their web site and updated the wireless card. Now it is fine, my advice to you is to go to the manufacture web site and see if there is an upgrade on your wireless. It fixed all my problems...hope this works for you....Steve
