My computer will not play videos from the flip camera?

ok, here is the deal. I have the camera. I downloaded the video unto my computer, and I can see it there. but, here is the catch, if I save the video to a flash drive or something, and try to play it on a computer with out the software, I have no such luck... the sound plays, but there is no video. is there anything I can do here?

I think the Flip records in MPEG-4 - if the computer you're trying to play it on doesn't have the MPEG-4 decoders it won't play.   Have a look at the players in the link - downloading one of those (or just the codec) should help.

Hey Ramon,

Here is the problem, the video you downloaded into the computer, has to be converted to the proper file before you can view it on an external drive..if am getting this right, you can view it in the editing program, but not from the drive?
