My computer won't notice my Zune.

My computer won't notice my Zune. I love my Zune and I have many things I would like to put on it. Everytime I hook it up, my computer says "Cannot install hardware. Hardware will not work properly."

I've installed the software. It used to work. I try restarting the Zune and the computer. It's not working. I'm desparate. I need to know what to do. Please help?

Mine has done this before...What it needs is a reset. Try a soft reset first. Make sure the Hold button is off. Then Press AND Hold the Back button and up button at the same time for approx. 7 sec.

If that doesnt work you need to do a Hard Reset. A hard reset will erase all data off the zune, so you will need to resync it.

To do a hard reset: hold back button and the up button at the same time, when it starts to reset change button hold to: back button, ok button, and right button at the same time. It will then inform you that it is deleting all media on device. Note that the transition of button holds has to be precise otherwise it will just do a soft reset.
