Question:

My computer won't open flash drives or discs.

I'm trying to move a bunch of photographs from our family computer to a disc, but it's not working. Whenever I insert a blank cd-r or cd-rw in the drive and go to My Computer and try to open it, I get a message saying "E:/ is not accessible. Incorrect function." Also, if i connect a flash drive and try to open it then i get a message saying "insert disc into drive F".

I tried inserting a cd-r disc with stuff on it already and it opened that fine so I don't understand why it won't open blank cds.

Help please. I'm trying to rescue my family's computer since my brother feels the need to download tons of pictures and games to the point of the computer running way slow and needing to be checked for viruses.

Thanks!!

  1. Go to windows help.

  2. What type of drive you have? CD-Rom, CD-R.  To burn photos to a disk.  You need CD-R drive plus CD-R disks or to burn DVD (DVD-RW drive and DVD-RW are required).
