Question:

My computer won't use the wholes screen?

i've restarted it several times but it has 2 sides of the screen blacked out? any ideas how to fix it please? thanks btw

  1. Is there a switch or anything that can adjust the width of it?

    Underneath might be it

    Also, any buttons on the front of the monitor (screen) might help.

    OSD settings or Image settings etc might come up, use that.


  2. Try this:

    1. Determine whether you have XP/Vista, by using the Run Command by either going to start>run or by using the Windows Key + R at the same time and typing in "winver" without the quotes. That is if you don't already know which one you have.

    2. I'm on vista so this is how i would change it:

       -Right-Click anywhere on desktop background.

       -Click Personalize

       -Click Display Settings

       -Move slider to "High" as much as you can.

      

       If you are using XP this is how you would change it:

       -Right-Click anywhere on desktop background

       -Click Properties

       -Go to settings

       -Move slider to "More" as much as you can.
