My contacts are BC 8.5 and DIA 14.2. Should I go with an 8.4 or 8.6? and is 13.8 DIA ok if the only option?

Looking at ordering the Night & Day contacts. Does it make a difference going up or down slightly with the DIA? Obviosuly I have to go one way or the other, just would like to know which is better. Also, the only DIA they come in is 13.8 but my prescription is 14.2. Will this make a big difference? Thanks for any input. I have tried to research but not much luck.

  1. Legally you need to stay with what your prescription from your doctor says. Anything else can lead to serios complications. Contact lenses are a medical apliance that the FDA says needs an RX and monitoring by a doctor. Don't mess with your eyes. base curve and diameter are important becuase the wrong sizes can cause dammage to your eyes.

  2. The differneces is not very big. Thus shd be ok for either one.

  3. They will not fit your eye properly if you order them. I would find a contact that has a 14.2 diameter and use them. If you don't they will irritate your eyes.
