  1. A surprisingly large number of people can not wear contacts at all, and many more can not do so without discomfort..and should not wear them because of this. Go and talk to your ophthalmologist and your family doctor, there is something wrong  and it should be attended to. It could be a simple case of dry eyes, in which case you can use drops..and ,by the way, are you using only the proper cleansing fluid and using it as often as you were told to? Never use tap water and never forget to clean your lenses.

  2. Your eyes may be getting too dry.  Do your contacts stick to your eyes at all?

If your eyes are hurting with the contacts in, your contacts might need to be replaced and/or your eyes might be too dry and/or just very sensitive.

I used to be able to wear contacts but my eyes have become too sensitive, even for the new contacts made for sensitive eyes, so I'm stuck with glasses fulltime.
